The weather was perfect for a day on the water and the backdrop of the Waitemata Harbour from the Tamaki Yacht Club really set the scene.
Our ladies were treated with bubbles on arrival and mingled with speakers and sponsors before the main event.
The session kicked off with a note from our platinum sponsor- Envista. The team were thrilled to support this initial event and group and look forward to working alongside us as we continue to grow.
Our specialist panel discussion welcomed speakers; Dr Caitlin Agnew, Dr Nina Scott, Dr Rachel Smith & Dr Andrea Shepperson. These four clinicians discussed a hypothetical trauma case requiring a multidisciplinary approach. We followed the case; a young female who had sustained a hockey ball injury to her upper front teeth, from initial emergency care to final aesthetic rehabilitation. This session really encompassed the essence of what this group is all about, providing engagement amongst colleagues and allowing participants to ask their learned colleagues questions and queries.
Lunch and dessert were served between our presentations and this allowed further discussion amongst attendees and speakers.
The lovely Claire Turnball, nutritionist, entrepreneur and author was our keynote speaker for the day. She provided a refreshing take on looking after ourselves as professional women in the current climate. Her anecdotal stories had us all laughing out loud. Her presentation based on her new ‘It’s a beautiful day’ planner described her philosophy on how to make the most of our time and energy and be the best versions of ourselves.
We finished the days event with a ‘speed-dating style’ elevator pitch from our platinum and gold sponsors. Participants separated into groups and spent some quality time with the Envista, Straumann & Geistlich teams, learning about their latest products & innovations.
A big thank you to all those who made the event possible, the team from Conference Innovators, our amazing sponsors, our specialist panel, Claire Turnbull and lastly our fabulous ladies who joined us to lunch & learn.
