About us
This group is aimed at providing a safe, supportive environment for dental professionals at all levels of their training and practice, allowing them to engage with other like-minded individuals to continue learning, sharing and teaching each other.
We hope to encourage you all to share the experiences and challenges unique to women in dentistry, whilst celebrating the strengths we bring to the profession and encouraging positive change within the profession and wider community.
We are launched our first event on Friday 4th December 2020 at Five Knots at Tamaki Yacht Club in Auckland- “Ladies that lunch and learn” and our second is planned for Friday 1 December 2023 at The QT Roof Top, QT Hotel, Auckland and we can’t wait to see you there. However, our aim is to be much more than annual events. With your help we will grow to incorporate online forums for daily support and advice, local coffee style catch up groups and ultimately provide an environment and pathway for young female dental students and graduates to transition into their chosen career, alongside the support of their learned colleagues.
Our vision is to provide a network for the challenging role of females within our profession who are often trying to balance their identity as not only a dental professional but as a business owner, mother, partner and individual.
